I'm so excited to be on the Home Tour Committee this year for Junior League San Francisco. For those who don't know, Junior League was started in 1911, and is an organization of women committed to promoting voluntarism, developing the potential of women, and improving communities through effective action and leadership of trained volunteers. We work with some awesome community partners like the SF Child Abuse Prevention Center, Pomeroy Recreation & Rehabilitation Center, and Raphael House.
The Home Tour is one of our largest fundraisers of the year and supports the League along with our community partners. This year marks our 22nd tour of homes, which is set for the gorgeous Sea Cliff neighborhood on October 22nd.
Nestled in the northwestern corner of San Francisco, Sea Cliff is an exclusive neighborhood with stunning views of the Golden Gate Bridge, Presidio, and Marin Headlands. Residents enjoy easy beach access to either China Beach or Baker Beach or hiking at Land’s End, only a short walk away. Sea Cliff is one of the original
The bulk of the neighborhood growth took place between 1920 - 1925 when architect Earl Baldwin Bertz and developer Harry B. Allen of Allen & Co. partnered together to create a diverse, high quality, architecturally pleasing group of homes. Sea Cliff’s impressive architecture and diverse houses ranging in style from Spanish mission style, French Beaux Arts, English Tudor, and Normandy style chalets, make it the perfect mix of California design. Celebrities such as Robin Williams and Sharon Stone have called Sea Cliff home.
